Adamson, Earl

Earl M. Adamson, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.O. Adamson, was born in rural Sedgwick on March 10, 1885, and passed away last Monday, October 26, at McPherson after an extended illness.
With the exception of a few years, Mr. Adamson spent his entire life in the Sedgwick community.
He was united in marriage to Claudia B. Edington on December 25, 1908. To this union were born one daughter and two sons; Helen (Mrs. Don Joe McGinn) of Sedgwick, Harold of Tulsa, OK, and Keith of Washington, D.C.
Mr. Adamson was a member of the Sedgwick Christian Church and of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include, besideshis wife, the daughter and two sons, two brothers, Alta C. of Wichita, and Paul of Los Animos, Colo; three sisters, Mrs. Blance Osborn of Sedgwick, Mrs. Leo Grattan of Newton, and Mrs. Grace Kane of Oklahoma City; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, Oct 29, at the First Christian Church, Sedgwick at 2:00 pm. The Rev. R.E. Vail offciated. A graveside service at Hillside Cemetery was conducted by Masonic Lodge No. 139.
Casket bearers were Fred Hinton, Gail Cox, Alfred Koby, Glenn Manning, John Clark and Menno Schroeder. Honorary bearers were Harley Caffrey, Dr. J. I. Kirkpatrick, Roy Munsell, Blaine Pollard, Edgar Trego, Ruben Alder, Frank Adamson and DeWyte Cox.
