Don McGinns to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary


Sedgwick, Mr. and Mrs. Don Joe McGinn of Sedgwick will celebrate their 50th wedding annoversry with a reception from 2 to 4:30 pm Saturday June7, at the Sedgwick Community building.

Hosting the event will be their children and their families: Mr. and Mrs. Charles (JoEllen) Koerner of Newton; Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Nancy) Rice and Mr. and Mrs. C.G. McGinn, all of Sedgwick; and Mr. and Mrs. Earl McGinn of Garden City.

Don Joe McGinn and Helen Adamson were married June 6, 1936, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Halstead. They have lived ona farm north of Sedgwick all of their married life. Don Joe was a farmer and Helen worked as a school nurse for 20 years in the Sedwick public schools.

Mrs. and Mrs. McGinn have 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
