Obituary

Alta Maabel Payne, 86, Mt. Hope, Kansas, died November 9, 1992 at Mt. H ope Nursing Center, Mr. Hope. She was born June 13, 1895 at Burrton, the daughter of James Edward and Erminnie Belle Sanderson Blubaugh. A resident of Burrton, she was a homemaker.

She married H. T. Payne in March of 1918. He died August 30, 1951. Survivors: a son, James Payne, Tarpon, Springs, Florida; two daughters, Twyla Hogan, Tuscon, Arizona and Doris M. Harris, Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Services were held Friday at the United Methodist Church, Mr. Hope with Pastor Mike Howard presiding. Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery.
