Obituary

Mary E. Schaplowsky, 96, died September 1, 1992 at Mt. Hope Nursing Center. She was born April 29. 1896 at Halstead, the daughter of August and Anna Miller Schaplowsky. She had lived in Mt. Hope for 12 years, moving from Hutchinson. She ws a retired dry-cleaner presser. She was a member of St. Teresea's Catholic Church, Hutchinson.

Survivors: two sisters, Lucille Hanson, Eugene, Oregon and Ella Northcott, Tyler, Texas.

Graveside services were conducted by the Rev. James Eatough Thursday morning at the Halstead Cemetery, where her parents are buried. Memorials may be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead.
