Obituary

Bertha Elsie Wenzel,86, Burrton, died Janury 16, 1992 at Halstead Hospital. She was born December 14, 1905 at Burrton, the daughter of Adam and Carolina Unruh Base. A lifetime resident of Burrton, she was a homemaker. On March 20, 1929 she married Alvin A. Wenzel at Alva Oklahoma. He survives. She was a member of the Mennonite church.

Other survivors include a son, Karl Wenzel, Burrton; daughter, Twila McCoy, Wichita; two brothers, Peter Base and Henry Base, both of Burrton; three sisters, Martha Smith; Pearl Clark and Dorothy Shive, all of Burrton; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday afternoon at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery.
