Findley, Nedra F.

Halstead Independent

Nedra L. Findley, 60 Burrton, died February at Oakwood Villa Care Center, Hutchinson.

Mrs. Findley was born June 23, 1 931 at Wichita, the daughter of Lloyd and Edith Purdem Cox. A Burrton resident since 1953, moving to Hutchinson, she was a homemaker. She married Fred R. Findley at Hutchinson May 25, 1952. He survives.

Mrs. Findley was a member of the United Methodist Church, Burrton. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Halstead Chapter, and the Hutchinson Women of the Moose Chapter No. 1371. She had held several Eastern Star Offices, serving at past Worthy Matron of Burrton in 1965, past Worthy Matron of Mount Hope in 1979, 1981 and 1982, and past Grand Representative in the State of New Mexico in 1984.

Other survivors: son, Earl Findley, Burrton; brother, Carl Cox, Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Clarice Sheffler and Carol Keever, both of Hutchinson; and three grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday morning at Johnson and Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson. Graveside services were conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star at the Burrton Cemetery.
