Myrtle Elizabeth Paden, was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. B. F. McElwain. She was born in Missouri in 1879. She died in Burrton at the age of 30. She came to Kansas in 1888 with her parents and married Joseph Paden in 1898. She was the mother ot two sons, one daughter. One son age 3 years died, the other in infancy.
She is survived by her husband, an infant daughter, parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mother and infant child were laid to rest in one casket in the Burrton Cemetery.
