Obituary

Betty C. Schowalter, died Thursday, September 8 at the Halstead Assisted Living iin Halstead. She was born October 5, 1914 in Dodge City to Arthur A. and Agnes A. Nieto Crowe. On September 15, 1935, she married William Fredrick Schowalter of Halstead in Dodge City. He died June 20, 1969.

She is survived by her son, William A. (Betty J.) Schowalter; sister, JoAnn Wollen, Aurora, Colorado and brother, Eugene Crowe, Parker, Colorado; six grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchidren.

She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Halstead and the EHU of Lakin Township. She was a retired Hertzler Clinic employee, working there for 26 1/2 years.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin and Arthur Crowe; sister, Ruthe Crowe and her loving daughter, Beverly Ann Easter.

Memorial service was Monday September 12 at the Homestead Assisted Living in Halstead with burial in the Halstead Cemetery.
