Obituary

Elizabeth Betsy DeVore, 39, Newton, died April 11, 1993 at Mitchell County Community Hospital, Beloit. A former Halstead resident, she was the sister of Mark Wiebe, Halstead.

She was born September 15, 1953 at Newton, the daughter of Gustav F. and Rita Hensley Wiebe. She was a 1971 graduate of Newton High School and a graduate of Marymount College, Salina. A Newton resident, she worked at CCH Computax, Wichita and was employed in USD 440 central office in Halstead from 1978 to 1980. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Beloit, the Treble Clef Club, Newton and the Extension Homemakers Unit, Newton.

She married Eddie DeVore at Newton on April 20, 1974. He survives. Other survivors: two sons, Brad DeVore and Doug DeVore, both of Beloit; parents, Newton; three other brothers, David Wiebe, ElDorado; Jim Wiebe, Valley Center; Don Wiebe, Newton and four sisters; Helen Gough, Clay Center; Mary Eilerets and Kathy Wiebe, both of Newton and Carol Seengerhauser, Wichita.

Funeral was Wednesdaat at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in care of Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.
