Obituary

Edna M. Eckel, 86, Halstead, died Monday, March 8, 1993 at Regency Health Care Center, Halstead. She was born February 12, 1907 at Newton, the daughter of Henry and Augusta Puls Briar. A resident of Halstead for the past 50 years, she was a retired Hertzler Clinic laboratory technician. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Newton.

On September 15, 1927 she married Olen B. Eckle at Newton. He died August 11, 1964.

Survivors: daughter, Dorothy Rodenberg, Halstead; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald in 1933.

Services were held March 11 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Newton with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
