Obituary

Harold B. Gleason, 70, Halstead, died February 10, 1993 at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was born November 1, 1922 at Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Matthew and Gertrude Beckum Gleason. A Halstead resident since 1951, he was a retired liquor store manager. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

On January 5, 1943, he married Gloria J. Richardson at Rantoul, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Gloria of the home; son, Charles Gleason, Wichita; three daughters, Kathy Dextradeur, Wichita; Cindy McCammon, Kansas City, Missouri and Julie Jones, Kearney, Missouri; brother, Bill Gleason, Atlanta; two sisters, Norma Jean Gleason and Shirley Gleason, both of California; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside service was held Saturday, February 13, in the Halstead Cemetery with Father James R. Eatoough presiding. A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
