Barbara Jane (Parker) Kirby Holzer

Barbara J. "Bobby" Holzer, 58, Newton, mother of Deborah Stoddard of Burrton, died Wednesday, October 27, 1993 at her home. She was born May 26, 1935 at Creve Coeur, Missouri, the daughter of William "Bill" and Mary Blanche Smith Parker. A longtime Newton resident, she was a retired branch manager of Mid Continent Savings and Loan of Newton.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Lady Elks, IX Alpha Lota Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi, the board of Harvey County Homebuilders Association, the North Newton - Newton Area Planning Commission, the Newton Board of Realtors and the Newton Chamber of Commerce, all of Newton.

She married James "Jim" R. Holzer at Houston, Missouri on September 3, 1977. He survives. Other survivors: another daughter, Denise Hayes, Newton and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, October 30 at First United Methodist Church, Newton. Burial was in the Whitewater Cemetery, rural Whitewater.
