Vigneron, Armand C.

Halstead Independent

Armand Carrington Vigneron, 70, Newton, former Halstead resident, died Wednesday, September 29, 1993 at VA Regional Medical Center in Wichita. He was born May 10, 1923 at Topeka, the son of Marcel and Marbel Thompson Vigneron.
He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Halstead; the Friendship Sunday School class of the Church; and the Quiet Birdmen of Wichita. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WW II and a member of the Newton VFW and Newton Chamber of Commerce.

He married Lillian Epp at Halstead on August 21, 1965. Survivors include his wife, Lillian, at home; sons, Stephen Vigneron, Burbank, California and Russell Vigneron, Ft. Dodge, Iowa; daughters, Nancy Riley, Clarinda, Iowa and LuAnn Laswell, Newton; brother Marc Vigneron, Los Angeles, California; sister, Jean McCord, Dallas, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.

A private graveside service was Thursday afternoon, September 30, in the Halstead Cemetery. A memorial service was held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., October 2 at the First Mennonite Church in Halstead.
