Obituary

Malinda E. Jantz, 82, Newton, died Saturday, April 2, 1994 at Friendly Acres Retirement Community, Newton. She was a sister to former Halstead resident Irvin Becker. She was born July 27, 1911 at Goltry, Oklahoma, the daughter of Peter J. Becker and Lena Unruh Becker. A Newton resident for four years, moving from Branson, Missouri, she waa a homemaker.

She attended the First Missionary Church in Newton.

On November 16, 1931, she married Leslie Jantz at Ulysses. Survivors include her husband, Newton; and her brother, Irvin Becker, Cedar Edge, Colorado.

Funeral was Tuesday, April 5 at Kaufman Funeral Home. Burial was in Halstad Cemetery.
