Obituary

Ardath Lucille Dreese Pierce, 87. Stafford, Arizona, former Halstead resident, died Tuesday, March 1, 1994 at Memorial Home in Safford, Arizona.

She was born December 30. 1906 in Halstead, the daughter of Charles R. and Mary Ruth Lehman Dreese. She had lived in Safford since 1977, having lived with her sister, Gladys, in Halstead. She was a 1926 graduate of Halstead High School and attended Fairmont Collete, now Wichita University, majoring in music. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Gloria Gentry, Yarnell, Arizona; one sister, Gladys Dreese, Halstead; six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Garry Pierce in December of 1992, and two brothers, Clayton Dreese and Galen Dreese.

Graveside serivce will be Fridayl March 11 at the Halstead Cemetery with the Rev. Don Meeks of the Halstead Presbyterian Church presiding.
