Geneva May (Self) Resley

Geneva May Self Resley, 82, Sedgwick, died Saturday, July 16, 1994 at Meadowbrook Manor of Sedgwick. She was born May 19, 1912 at Buffalo, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Jackson Self and Cecelia Rose Curtice. Aa Sedgwick resident since 1951, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, The Women's Missionary Society at the Church; the Sedgwick Senior Citizens, and the Athena; S.N.W.; and Get Together EHU Clubs, all of Sedgwick.

She married Marvin "Pat" Resley at Russell on July 12,1930.
He died September 16, 1973. Survivors: two daughters, Patricia Brooner, Sedgwick; Rose Olson, Oklahoma City,; sister, Rose Elizabeth Conard, Traveler's Rest, South Carolina; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Ronald Roy, 1965 and Marvin Lee in 1980; one grandchild, Dixie Mae, 1956; one sister, Mamie Lula; seven brothers, William Jackson, Cecil Curtice, Albert Ray, Captain John "Jack" Lee, Orion Edward, Virgil Tinsley and Baby Boy Self.

Funeral was July 19 at First Christian Church, Sedgwick. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
