Obituary

Opal M. Cummings, 89, Newton, died Saturday, November 4, 1995 at Friendly Acres Retirement Community, Newton. She was born October 21, 1906 at Arnett, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter J. and Rachel Leah Potter McKibben. A Newton resident since 1971, moving from Kansas City, Missouri, she was a secretary for City National Bank and for Kansas City Power and Light, both of Kansas City, Missouri.

she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Newton and Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 345, Kansas City, Missouri.

Survivors: include nephews and nieces, including Leah Ross, Sedgwick.

Funeral was Wednesday, November 8 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton. Burial was in the Halstead cemetery.
