Obituary

Ida Faye Edwards, 92, Burrton, died Thursday, February 16, 1995 at her Burrton home. She was born November 16, 1902 at Mankato, the daughter of Charles and Maude Montgomery Cavin. She graduated from Sterling High School. A Burrton resident since 1932, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church; Women's Society of Christian service; Garden Club; One Afternoon Out Club and was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, all at Burrton.

She married Melvin L. Edwards at Sterling on February 18, 1922. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, M. Loyd Edwards, Emporia; Donald Edwards, Wichita; and M. Joe Edwards, San Diego, California; four daughters, Helen Stubby, Reta Grandon, and Pat Bryant, all of Burrton and Reva Hern, Topeka; 21 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Funeral was Saturday, February 18 at the United Methodist Church, Burrton. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
