Raymond M. Gerloff, 63, Halstead, father to Barbara Loewen of Halstead, died Tuesday, February 21, 1995 at Halstead Hospital.
He was born February 7, 1932 at Fuersville, Missouri, the son of Martin and Barbara Crider Gerloff. He moved to Newton from Chamois, Missouri in 1956, then to oHalstead in 1993. He worked for 30 years at D.M.H. Corp, Halstead; it was renamed as Idaho Timbeer Corp. from which he retired.
He was a member of Newton Christian Church; American Lewgion Post No. 2 and the Eagles Hall, all of Newton.
He married Shirley Ford at Waverly, Missouri. She survives. Other survivers: three other daughters, Dianne Blackketter, Kirkland, Washington; Teresa Glenn, Redmond, Washington and Cynthia Keele, Newton; two brothers, Dorsia Gerloff, Ballwin, Missouri and Roger Gerloff, Chamois, Missosuri; six sisters, Josephine Withaus, Peoria, Illinois; Erelene Trachsel, Berger, Missoouri; Monda Whithaus, Chamois, Missouri; Dorothlene Mowery, St. Louis, Missoouri; Sharon Fricke, Ellisville, Missouri and Brenda Brandt, Linn, Missoouri; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Friday, February 24 at Newton Christian Churh, Newton with the Rev. Sherman D. Sack presiding. Burial was in Restlawn Gardens of Memory, Newton.
Memorial has been established with the church and with the American Lung Association.
