Obituary

John L. Goering, 79, Sedgwick, died Monday, January 2, 1995 at Riverside Hospital, Wichita. He was born January 31, 1914 at Moundridge, the son of Benjamin B. and Lena Krehbiel Goering. A rural Sedgwick resident, formerly living in Hesston and Moundridge, he was a farmer and painter. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Newton.

On August 17, 1937, he married Grace Regier at Buhler. She survives. Other survivors: two sons, Ivan J. Goering, Sedgwick; and Donovan E. Goering, Goddard; daughter, Carolyn J. Buller, Fremont, California; two brothers, Ervin B. Goering, Moundridge and David H. Goering, McPherson; three sisters, Lorene B. Goering and Viola Kaufman, both of Moundridge and Helen Krehbiel, McPherson; 8 grand children and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral is set for Wednesday January 4 at the First Mennonite Church in Newton. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
