Obituary

Darrell Edward Hefling, 31, Halstead, died Saturday, May 6, 1955 in rural Harvey County. He was born June 18, 1963 in Newton, the son of James M. and Ruby J. Suderman Hefling. A longtime Halstead resident, he was a foreman at Excel Corporation, Hesston.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Wedgewood Golf Course Men;s association, both at Halstead.

Survivors include parents, Halstead; brother, Duane Hefling, Halstead; sister, Denise Moore, Halstead; grandparents, Roger and Edith Hefling, Halstead and Martha Suderman, Hillsboro.

Funeral was Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Halstead, with the Rev. James Mardock presididng. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
