Obituary

Herman S. Koehn, 80, Burrton, died Friday, February 17, 1995 at the Halstead Hospital. He was born November 7, 1914 at Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Sam A. and Anna Schmidt Koehn. A Burrton resident since 1970, moving from Chickasha, Oklahoma, he was a farmer.

He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead. On June 19, 1938 he married Martha Zeiset at Galva. She died May 13, 1985. On October 19, 1986, he married Nina Zeiset at Chickasha, Oklahoma. She survives.

Other survivors include seven sons, Truman Koehn, Galva; Melvin Koehn, Canton; Jim Koehn, Transylvania, Louisiana; Jerald Koehn, Halstead; Delma Koehn and Dennis Koehn, both of Uniontown, Alabama and Gene Koehn, Newburn, Alabama; daughter, Mary Lou Rempel, Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, Canada; a brother, Irvin Koehn, Newton; two sisters, Lula Unruh, Moundridge and Helen Base, Chickasha, Oklahoma; 32 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral was Tuesday, February 21, at Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
