Obituary

Oswald Raymond Lehman, 79, a lifelong Halstead resident, died July 14, 1995 at his home. He was born November 14, 1915 at Halstead Hospital, the son of Jacob F. and Christina E. Langenwalter Lehman.

He was a retired welder for the Santa Fe Railroad and farmer. He married Corrine Miller on March 14, 1938. She died on November 7, 1979. On May 9, 1981, he married Viola W. Lauck Martin who survives. He was a member of the Mennonite church but attended the Halstead Presbyterian Church. He was the 1980 recipient of the Halstead Old Settlers Good Neighbor Award.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Doris Hagan of Ridgewood, New Jersey and Helen Vanderlinden of Denver, Colorado; a stepson, Clyde Martin of Lubbock, Texas and a stepdaughter, Eleanor Mills of Halstead; a brother, Irvin Lehman, Topeka, Kansas; sister, Mildred Fundenberger of Ocean Shores, Washington; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Wilson, in 1970.

Services were held at Kaufman Funeral Home with burial in the Halstead Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice.
