Obituary

Grace V. Pfile, 90. Pretty Prairie, formerly of Sedgwick, died Wednesday, November 8, 1995 at Prairie Sunset Manor, Pretty Prairie, Kansas. She was born October 2, 1905 at Natoma, the daughter of Wilbur Grant and Nellie Jane Massengale Matheson. A resident of Sedgwick for 59 years before moving to Pretty Prairie, she was a retired cosmetologist. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sedgwick.

She married Henry C. Barth who preceded her in death and on July 29, 1938, she married Jacob J. Pfille at ElDorado. He died November 12, 1970.

Survivors include a son, Donald Barth, address unknown; a granddaughter, Connie J. Davison Janzen, Hutchinson; and a great granddaughter, Jennifer Janzen Anderes, Abilene. She was preceded in death by a son, Bryce Barth, who died May 1, 1974 and a daughter, Naomi Davison who died August 13, 1993.

Funeral was held Friday, November 10, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with the Rev. Richard Ratzlaff presiding. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
