Obituary

Lydia Ratzlaff, 93, Wichita, mother to John K. Ratzlaff of Halsted, died Monday, September 11, 1995 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

She was born November 24, 1901 at Weatherford, Oklahoma, the daughter of Peter and Katherine Issak Gunther. A resident of Wichita, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Newton.

On August 21, 1925, whe married Arthur G. Ratzlaff at Cordell, Texas. He died June 23, 1975.

Survivors include two other sons, Eugene Ratzlaff, Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Melvin Ratzlaff, Rosamond, California; daughter, Rosella Jo Mercer, Wichita; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Dana LaVerne Ratzlaff; three daughters, Loretta Mae Ratzlaff; Mary Ann Finke; Wanda Lee Foster and ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral is Thursday, September 14 at the Church in Newton with the Rev. Larry Morgan presiding. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
