Obituary

Thelma Mae Tarman, 80, Halstead, died Friday, March 3, 1995 at her home. She was born March 5, 1914 at Leon, the daughter of Emery and Olive Eastin Payne. A Halstead resident since 1934, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Halstead. In November 1932, she married Edwin R. Tarman at Newton. He died May 3, 1991. Survivors: sons, Eddie Joe Tarman, Edmond, Oklahoma; Michael Tarman, Wichita Falls, Texas and Robert Tarman, Wichita; brothers, Glen E. Payne, Toronto, Earl Payne, Ottawa; sisters, Frances Joy Wilson, Halstead and Phyllis Crowl and Wynona Winterhalter, both of Sun City, Arizona; 12 grndchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Edwina Kay, who died September 5, 1965.

Services were Monday, March 6 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halsted with the Rev. Don Meeks presiding. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
