Yohe, William Russell

William Russell Yohe, 63, Garland, Texas, formerly of Burrton, died Sundy, September 3, 1995 at Baylor Medical Center, Garland, Texas.
He was born November 16, 1931 in Burrton, the son of Azel Alexander and Helen Graham Yohe. He was a graduate of Burrton High School and the University of Kansas, Lawrence, where he received a bachelor of science degree in mathmatics, physics and electrical engineering. Following graduation, he was inducted into the U. S. Army where he supervised the Nike Missle Project in White Sands, New Mexico. He was employed at Collins Radio, Richardson, Texas and Recognition Equipment, Inc., Irving, Texas. During his employment with Recognition, he designed and patented a highspeed currency counter. The currency transporter was used in national banks worldwide. He was a elder of the First Christian Church and was a Boy Scout troop leader, all at Garland, Texas.
On September y, 1952, he married Virginia Mae Issacson in the Dan Forth Chapel on the University Campus in Lawrence. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Rhonda Meyer, Palmer, Texas, Linda Yohe and Rebecca Yohe, both of Austin, Texas; brothers, Spencer Yohe, Villa Park, California and David Yohe, Mulvane; sisters, Colleen Van Pelt, Mulvane; Connie Logue, Burrton; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchidren.
Services were held September 5, at the First Christian Church, Garland, Texas with the Rev. Tony Salisbury presiding. Williams Funeral Directors, Garland, Texas was in charge of arrangements.
Graveside service will be Friday, September 8, at the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, with the Rev. Mike Yarbrough presididng. Memorials to American Heart Association.
