Obituary

Fred L. Zimmerman, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Halstead and Burrton, died Tuesday February 14, 1995 at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born September 4, 1923 at Burton, the son of Samuel R. and Alice Vollweider Zimmerman. A resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was a retired salesman with McGraw Edison in Naxhville, Tennessee.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

On June 11, 1948, he married Lois Soupene at Manhattan. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Gerald Zimmerman, Houston, Texas; daughter, Gloria Zimmerman, Buffalo, New York, his mother, Halstead; brother, Richard Zimmerman, Salina; sister, Pauline Crawford, Mission, Texas and two grandsons, Jason and Michael Zimmerman, Houston, Texas.

Funeral was Tuesday February 14 at Turner Chapel West, Cedar Rapids, Iowa with the Rev. Brian Milford presiding. Burial was Monday, February 10, at Halstead, Kansas Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Zimmerman presiding.
