Duane D Becker

Duane D. Becker, 80, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010. He was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Burrton, the son of Albert and Grace Dick Becker. He was a former Topeka resident. He did vehicle maintenance and operations supervision for the Kansas Air National Guard. He served in the United States Army and the Kansas Air National Guard. He married Hildegard Becker Oct. 4, 1952, in Feudenheim, Germany. She survives. Other survivors include son, Michael D. Becker of Shawnee, Okla.; daughter, Patricia Becker of McKinney, Texas; three granddaughters; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Jean Becker. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 17 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory in Hutchinson, with Pastor Alan Stambaugh presiding. Burial will follow at Burrton City Cemetery in Burrton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Society or the Kansas National Guard Museum, both in care of the funeral home.
