Obituary

Gilbert Gordon Hensley 82, Burrton, died Monday, January 29, 1996 at his residence in Burrton. He was born March 12, 1913 at Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Gilbert E. and Georgia Lillian Gordon. A lifelong resident of Burrton, he was an entrepreneur and businessman. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, rural Burrton.

On March 12, 1935, he married Vesta R Ansel at Lyons. She survives. Other survivors: two sons, William R. Hensley, Lenexa, and James Issac Hensley, Jacksonville, Florida; two daughters, Patricia V. Hayes, Wichita, and Paula K. Hoskinson, Burrton; brother, Harley D. Hensley, Derby; sister, Evelyn Waggoner, Hutchinson; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, G. Melvin Hensley and Leland R. Hensley.

Services were Thursday, February 1 at Burron United Methodist Church. Burial was in Burrton, Kansas cemetery.
