Obituary

Juanita J. Herring, 83, Wichita, sister to Donald Bixler of Halstead, died Sunday, March 3, 1996 at the Catholic Life Center, Wichita. She was born July 27, 1912 at Halstead, the daughter of Grover W. and Elva Mark Bixler. A Wichita resident since 1942, she was a retired sporting goods sales clerk. She was a member of First Christian Church, Pratt, and the American Legion Auxiliary Thomas Hopkins Post #4, Wichita.

Other survivors: son, Philip May, Wichita; daughter, Charlyene Traux, Humble, Texas; two stepsons, Robert Herring and Lanny Herring, both of Wichita; stapdaughter, Peggy, Washington, Kansas; her stepmother, Edna Bixler, Park City; 3 grandchildren and 4 stepgrandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Services were held March 7 at Kaufman Funeral, Halstead. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery.
