Obituary

Emma Elizabeth Hurst, 95, Burrton, died Tuesday, February 27, 1996 at Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinson. She was born August 18, 1900 at Nowata County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lou and Elizabeth Long Richards. A resident of Burrton since 1933, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Burrton.

On May 24, 1917, she married Frank A. Hurst at Nowata County, Oklahoma. He died July 27, 1960. Survivors: sons, Archie R. Hurst, Derby; Lewis T. Hurst, Branson, Missouri; Donald H. Hurst, Hutchinson; daughter, Clara D. Chappell, Burrton; 16 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Ray Hurst and two daughters, Clella Mae Hurst and Marjorie Lee Hurst.

Graveside service will be March 1 at the Burrton, Kansas Cemetery.
