Glenn E. Kennedy, 70, Sedgwick, died Sunday, November 24, 1996 at his home. He was born Janury 19, 1926, the son of Charles P. and Frances H. AllenKennedy. A longtime resident of Sedgwick, he was a stress technician from Hay and Forage Corp. in Hesston, retiring iin 1987.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Sedgwick; the American Legion Post No 268, Sedgwick; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Whitesell Finnel Post 971, Newton; and the 40 & 8 Club of Sedgwick. He served in the U.S. Army as corporal from January 1944 to May 1946. He was awarded the Victory Medal and Ribbon; the Asiatic-Pacific Medal and Ribbon and the American Campaign Medal and Ribbon.
On May 21, 1953, he married Dorothy L. Wilson at Columbus, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Deborah Hill and Annette Cook, both of Sedgwick; Glenda Krehiel, Moundridge; and Patricia Unruh, Burrton; brother, Charles Kennedy, Wichita and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Sue Kennedy and a sister, Bessie M. Brennan.
Services were Wednesday, November 27 at the Christian Church of Sedgwick. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
