Obituary

Sarah F. McCabe, 94, Wichita, died Tuesday, January 23, 1996 at Manor Care Nursing Center, Wichita. She was born August 23, 1901 at Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of North R. and Nellie Ream Bishop. A resident of Wichita since 1988, moving from Newton, she was a retired school teacher, retiring in 1968. She previously had taught first grade at Southbreeze Elementary in Newton for 13 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 5; both of Newton. Delta Kappa, Gamma and the Harvey County Retired Teacher's Association.

On May 29, 1927, she married Lee Roy McCabe in Valley Center. He died October 13, 1964.

Survivors: daughters, Joanne Goodman, Wichita and Frances Kottler, Wichita; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Graveside Service was Friday in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
