Obituary

Gladys L. Richardson, 70, Sedgwick, died Friday May 24, 1996 at Via Christi, St. Francis Campus in Wichita. She was born July 15, 1925 at Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas J. and Lula Mae Turner Bristol. A resident of Sedgwick for many years, she was a homemaker.

In 1939 whe married Hershal Alcorn. On October 4, 1961, she married George E. Richardson at Herington. He died July 16, 1976.

Survivors: four sons, Don Alcorn, Marion; Jerry Alcorn, Belle Plaine; Bill Alcorn and Tom Richardson, both of Sedgwick; daughter, Helen Stoll, Hutchinson; brothers, Ralph Bristol and Jim Bristol, both of Springfield, Missouri; sister, Lois Rush, Ava, Missouri; Lena Larson, Columbia, Nebraska; Bessie Joiner, Visalia, California; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Bristol and Harley Bristol; five sisters, Ethel Cogburn, Ruby Bristol; Flossie Landsdown; Mae Singleton and Nancy Landers; two grandchildren, Shelly Alcorn and Jerry Alcorn, Jr.

Services were Tudsday, May 28 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Newton. Burial was in Hillside Cenetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
