Stella Frances (Ruhl) Souba

Stella Frances Souba, 78, Halstead, formerly of Burrton, died at her residence Sunday, August 4, 1996. She was born December 20,. 1917 at Exeter, Nebraska, the daughter of Aloysius amd Theresea May Robbins Ruhl. A long time resident of Buirrton, moving to Halstead in 1993, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead; Halstead Hospital auxiliary; Sacred Heart Build and Halsted Historical Society, all at Halstead.

On April 19, 1938 she married Donald N. Souba at Exeter, Nebraska. He died October 16, 1982. Survivors: son, Michael Souba, Hutchinson; daughters, Shirley Hoskinson and Bette Hoskinson, both of Hutchinson and Karen Base, Halstead; brother, Ray Ruhl, Exeter, Nebraska; sisters, Marie Ekler, Exeter, Nebraska and Teresea Erdkamp, Friends, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy M. Collins who died December 23, 1968.

Rosary was Tuesday, August 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead. Funeral mass was Wednesday. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
