Obituary

Freda A. Stahl, 104, Newton, mother to Edward E. Stahl of Sedgwick, died Monday, September 23, 1996 at Friendly Acres Retirement Community, Newton. She was born July 30. 1892 at Plevna, the daughter of Joseph F. and Anna Beck. A longtime Newton resident, she was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of Zion Ladies Aid, the Women's Missionary League and the Pleasant Circle, all of Newton.

On June 5, 1919, she married Edward J. Stahl at Plevna. He died July 3, 1968. Survivors: another son, John H. Stahl, Newton; daughter, Ruby J. Boucher, Wichita; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchidren.

Funeral was Friday, September 17 at Zion Lutheran Church, Newton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
