Obituary

Charles F. Connors, 95, Newton, formerly of Sedgwick, died Friday, January 31, 1997 at Friendly Acres Retirement Community, Newton, Kansas.

He was born May 4, 1901. He was a resident of Friendly Acres since 1993, moving from Sedgwick, where he had lived since 1990. He was a night watchman and involved with security. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, ElCentro, California and a past member of Distillery, Rectifying, Wine and Allied Workers of California; and International Union of American No. 180, Spreckels, California.

On May 24, 1951, he married Mary Etta Connors. She died March 21, 1995. Survivors: three stepgranddaughters, Marcia Brown and Laura Hale, both of California and Kathleen Clark, Phoenix.

Graveside service was Tuesday, February 4, in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
