Obituary

Ruby D. Ewert, 77, Leavenworth, died Thursday, October 23, 1997 at St. Johns Hospital in Leavenworth. She was born May 12, 1920 at Newton, the daughter of John Gerhard and Nettie Frey Ewert. A longtime resident of the Leavenworth area, she was a retired dental assistant at the Ft. Leavenworth Army Base. She was a member of the Northeast Kansas Dental Study Club and St. John Hospitall volunteer.

Survivors: sister, Gladys Weesner of Halstead. She was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Ewert and Albert Ewert and sisters, Anna McLain, Edna Scott, Edith Kimberlin and Alice Young

Grave side service was October 27 in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton with the Rev. Everett Weesner presiding.
