Obituary

Margaret L. Farber, 84, Wellington, former Halstead resident, died October 13, 1997 at Via Christi St. Joseph, Wichita. She was born July 7, 1913 at Sedgwick, the daughter of Frank and Carrie Wagner Wellman. She married Johnny Henry Farber December 27, 1933 at Wellington. He died January 23, 1996.

She was a homemaker and a retired day care provider. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge, both of Halstead.

Survivors: son, Johnny Wayane Farber, Wichita; daughter, Gaylene McConnell, Wellington; brother, Wayne Wellman, Park City and a sister, Pearl Herron, Valley Center; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Lee and Tommy Duane, brother, Francis Wellman and a sister, Gladys Phillips.

Funeral will be Friday, October 17 at the Church with the Rev. James Mardock presiding. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
