Obituary

Jack D. Halberstadt, 54, Burrton, died of natural causes due to cancer on Wednesday, Februry 26, 1997 at his home in Burrton.

He was born July 10, 1942 at Union City, Indiana, the son of Alonzo F. and Mildred Burkhart Halberstadt. He was a truck driver for Paulsen, Inc., of Cozad, Nebraska. He was a member of the American Legion in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Survivors: include a companion, Sherry L. McCandless, Burrton; daughter, Tonya Halberstadt, Muncie, Indiana; his mother, Richmond, Indiana; two brothers, Jim Halberstadt, Jackson Center, Ohio and Joe Halberstadt, Richmoond, Indiana; sister, Judy Worfle, Winchester, Indiana; two stepsons, John McCandless of Colorado and Buddy McCandless of Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Sno McCandless, Burrton and 8 grandchildren.

There will be no service. Memorials to Hospice.
