Obituary

Edward Hazen, 72, Valley Center, brother to Retta Smith, Halstead, died Saturday, January 18, 1997 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

He was born July 31, 1924 at Oak Creek, Colorado, the son of Henry Roy and Mary Alice Martin Hazen. A resident of Valley Center, he was a machinist at Boeing Aircraft Co. in Wichital

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Spencer Hazen of the home; sons; Leslie Hazen, Valley Center; Galen Hazen, Plano, Texas and Harvey Hazen, Wichita; daughters, Carolyn Hazen, Goddard and Christine Rahnamal, Longmeadow, Massachusetts; two other sisters, Irene Stultz, Austin, Texas and Mary Williams, Trentwood, Washington; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral was Wednesday, January 22, 1997 at Nutter Mortuary, Valley Center with Doug Fraley presiding. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
