Obituary

Esther A. Henry, 79, Newton, formerly of Burrton, died Sunday, March 16, 1997 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita. She was born January 27, 1918 at Burrton, the daughter of Reese E. and Sophia Rowland Thomas. She graduated from Newton High School. A Newton resident for most of her life, she worked at the County Clerk's Office in the Harvey County Courthouse. She was a member of Assembly of God Church, Newton, and taught Sunday school at the church.

On June 30, 1939, she married Garnel A. Henry t Newton. He survives.

Other survivors: three sons, Mike Henry, Wichita; Barry Henry, Lenexa, and David Henry, Barstow, California; five grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Services were Wednesday, Marcy 19 at the Church with Pastor Joohn Hubbard presiding. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
