Obituary

Hildred E. "Jackie" Higgins, 89, Overland Park, formerly of Burrton, died Sunday, March 16, 1997 at Delmar Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born February 3, 1908 at Burrton, the daughter of Charles and Bertha Lagree Baker. She was retired from the Clerical department of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

She was a member of Rose Douglas Chapter No. 475 of the Order of Eastern Star and Telephone Pioneers Club.

On December 6, 1930 she married Johon Higgins at Wichita. Survivors: two daughters, Rebecca Jan Weston, Littleton, Colorado and Cynthia G. Morton, Leawood; sister, Thelma Verlin, Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren; and one great randchild.

Services were held Thursday, March 20, at De Vorss Flanagan Hunt Mortuary in Wichita with burial in Burrton, Kansas cemetery.
