Lincke, Glenn A.

Glenn A. Lincke, 72, Burrton, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997 at the Columbia Halstead Hospital. He was born January 2, 1925 at Osage, Iowa, the son of Emil and Amanda Horgen Lincke. A Burrton resident since 1983, he was a retired aeronautical and aero space engineer.
He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Bentley, a life membeer of VFW Post No. 3914 and a 52 year member of American Legion Post #278, both at Osage, Iowa., a life member of Disabled American Veterans No. 4, and a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart No. 358, both in Wichita, a life member of the Marine Corps League, Wichita and a charter and life member of the Good Sam Club. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving during World War II and a U. S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
On June 7, 1980 he married Edith Lemes in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors: son, Garthe Lincke, Los Molinas, California; daughter, Cynthia L. Rowe, Monrooe, Wisconsin; sisters, Velva Meyer, Dorothy Kristensen and Edna Stott, all of Charges City, Iowa; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services were Thursday, June 13 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with Rev. Eugene andy and Arthur Jones presididng. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery.
