Obituary

Betty Claire Foster Yohe, 80, homemaker, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Villa Park, Calif. She was born Jan. 1, 1930 at Wichita to Dr. Thomas L. and Mildred (Tucker) Foster. She was a 1947 graduate of Halstead High School and a 1950 graduate of Kansas University. A resident of Villa Park, Calif., for 30 years, previously resdiing in Prairie Village, she was President of the Assistance League of Orange County and was a member of the Villa Park Women's League. On Jan. 29 1949 she married D. Spencer Yohe at Halstead. He survives.

Other survivors include sons: Thomas F. (Nancy) Yohe, Garland, Texas; John Yohe, Cooke City, Mont.; Robert G. (Madeline) Yohe, Stillwell; brothers: Richard (Carole) Foster and Robert (Jackie) Foster all of Wichita; five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with Pastor Gabe Alvarado presiding. Burial will follow at Burrton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Dole Memorial Library, Burrton, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home.
