Obituary

Arthur Dean Ediger, 65, owner-operator of Ediger Plumbing, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Newton Medical Center. He was born Feb. 17, 1944 at Newton to Marivin H. and Dorothy Marie (Lohrentz) Ediger. A Burrton resident since 1969, he was a logtime member of the Burrton Volunteer Fire Department, serving as chief for many years. On April 19,1969, he married Janet Vincent at Hutvchinson, she survives. Other survivors include sons Cary Ediger, Lawrence, Ks, Jeff (Angie) Ediger, Halstead, Ks, Honorary daughter: Julie Boyle Hamilton, Dallas; Brother: Vern (Sally) Ediger and sister: Donna (Mike) Nightingale both of Halstead and 2 grandchildren. Funeral service was Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Burrton High School with Rev. Jim Gundy officiating. Burial will follow at Burrton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Burrton Volunteer Fire Department in care of Kaufman Funeral Home.
