Obituary

Flora Payton, 81, Lees Summit, Missouri, formerly of Halstead, died Saturday, July 26, 1997 at Village Care Center, John Knox Village, Lees Summit, Missouri. She was born May 23, 1916 at Hanston, Kansas, the daughter of Jesse Ralph and Mae Widdoes Payton. A resident of Lees Summit, Missouri for the past 18 months, moving from Halstead, she was a retired Halstead Hospital dietary employee. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Halstead.

Survivors: sisters: Winifred Johnson, Halstead, Thelma Stephenson, Santa Rosa, California and Hermoine Milleson, Lees Summit, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jay Payton who died in June 1997.

Graveside service was Tuesday, July 29, in the Halstead Kansas Cemetery.
