Roy "Rusty" Robinson, 65, Sedgwick, died Tuesday, June 10. 1997 at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born March 12, 1932 at Buffalo, the son of William Travis and Addie Jane Moss Robinson. He was raised in Buffalo, then in Sedgwick, he was a graduate from Sedgwick High School. He was the Chief of Police in Sedgwick for 13 years before retiring.
He was a member of the American Legion in Sedgwick and a U. S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the army with the rank of Sgt. First Class after 21 years of service.
On December 7, 1953, he married Miyoko Noda in Tokoyo, Japan. She survives. Other survivors: John Robinson, Overland Park; daughter, Cindy Rankin, Newton; brother, Wilber "Bill" Roobinson, Sedgwick; sister, Susie Johnson, Pensacola, Florida and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty Lou Katsaros and Peggy Jane Robiison, four brothers, Herbert Robinson; Gene Robinson; Robert Robinson and Richard Robinson.
Funeral was Friday, June 13 at Sedgwick Unived Methodist Church. Burial was iin Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
