Rosenberg, David Jr.

Harvey County Independent

David Rosenburg, Jr., 84, died July 16, 1997 at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton. He was born October 14, 1912 at Trenton, New Jersey, the son of David Sr. and Dora P. Johnson Rosenburg. A Newton resident since 1992, moving from Burrton, he was a former Burrton City employee.

He was a retired U.S. Navy petty officer, a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

On February 4, 1962, he married Loma Alford at Miami, Oklahoma.

Mr. Rosenburg belonged to the Burrton United Methodist Church and American Legion Post No. 196, both at Burrton; Masonic Lodge No. 46, Halstead; and Masonic Lodge No. 142, Newton and the VFW Post in Hutchinson.

Survivors: wife of the home; brother, Jim Rosenburg, Allentown, New Jersey; niece, Ellen Green, Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Graveside services were held Saturday morning at the Burrton Cemetery, with Masonic rites conducted by Halstead Lodge No. 46.
